OTC fiat ↔ crypto trades on p2pzero
Separate from the standard marketplace: sell USDC or ETH for bank wire or cash from $1,000. Seller locks 104% on-chain; buyer posts a 4% bond.
OTC is a separate flow from “Sell anything” marketplace listings. Choose OTC trade only on the homepage or sell tab — do not mix rules between the two.
Who locks what
- Seller locks 104% of the crypto amount in escrow when publishing.
- Buyer posts a 4% bond to claim — not the full price.
- Minimum trade: $1,000 USD/EUR equivalent.
Fiat off-chain, crypto on-chain
Bank wire or cash in person happens off-chain. Crypto stays in the public escrow contract until both parties (or ARBITER in a dispute) co-sign release.
Timing
- Share wire or meetup details in encrypted XMTP chat within 3 hours.
- Buyer has a 24-hour wire window after details are confirmed on-chain.
- Seller taps Fiat received when payment arrives → 2-of-3 release.
On success (fiat received + 2-of-3 release)
- Buyer receives 100% of the listed crypto plus a 3% bond refund (4% bond locked minus 1% platform fee). Fiat was paid off-chain.
- Seller keeps 100% of the fiat payment off-chain. On-chain the 104% lock delivers crypto to the buyer; the extra 4% pays the platform seller fee — no crypto returns to the seller wallet.
- Platform receives 5% of the crypto amount (4% from seller collateral + 1% from buyer bond). This is separate from the standard marketplace 14% success fee.
